Ingredients and Benefits
Ingredients and their Beneficial Effects

Glucosamine HCl
  • Protect against joint injury
  • Improves cartilage repair (increases synthetic activity of chondrocytes)
  • Key component of the extra cellular matrix of cartilage, and acts as a shock absorber for the joints
  • Stimulates the production of proteins found in cartilage (glycosaminoglycans - GAG's). They bind the water within the cartilage matrix, slowing the deterioration of your joints, and easing your pain.
  • Regulates several metabolic activities of osteoarthritic chondrocytes, including increase in protein synthesis. Such activity may be helpful in stimulating matrix synthesis – potentially important part of healing.
  • Absorbed and used very quickly

MSM (Methylsulfonlymethane)
  • Methylsulfonlymethane (MSM) a known anti-inflammatory agent that has been credited to returning joint health to a “normal” state.
  • MSM restores the sulfur concentration to their proper levels – very important because sulfur is a “building block” for tissues, like cartilage.

Chondroitin Sulfate
  • Cushions, supports, and attracts nutrients into synovial fluid (fluid around knee and other joints)
  • Works with glucosamine to assist in rehabilitating the cartilage that is damaged in your body
  • Protects existing cartilage from premature degeneration
  • Studies have shown that Chondroitin reduces pain and increases overall mobility in joints
  • Absorbed and used very quickly

Vitamin C (Ascrobic Acid)
  • Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) is a powerful antioxidant that assists in maintaining the integrity of the immune system.
  • Vitamin C is required to produce collagen, which is the main supportive protein in cartilage, tendon, and connective tissues.

Shark Cartilage
  • Shark Cartilage is another form of chondroitin added for additional cushioning and joint support.

Manganese Gluconate
  • Manganese is essential in several stages of glycosaminoglycan-chondroitin sulfate formation (epiphyseal cartilage and bone matrix formation are compromised by a deficiency of manganese).
  • Manganese deficiency in other species results in abnormal cartilage development.

Bromelain
  • Bromelain has been shown to reduce pain and swelling in the joints (analgesic effect).

Omega 3 Fatty Acids
  • Omega 3 fatty acids stimulate the immune system and are reported to reduce inflammation in joints.
  • Natex™ contains flax oil, the best source of Omega 3 fatty acids available.

Vitamin A (Retinol)
  • Vitamin A is essential in the prevention of tendon strain and lameness.
  • Vitamin A is needed in normal bone development as well.

Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopheral)
  • A deficiency in this vital compound can cause muscle soreness and lameness.
  • Vitamin E functions in a multi-component antioxidant defense system, which eliminates free radicals that oxidize unsaturated phospholipids and proteins.
  • Additionally, Vitamin E protects the polyunsaturated fatty acids (Omega 3 fatty acids) from being oxidized in the stomach - prevents the stomach from negating the potential benefits of the Omega 3 fatty acids.
